Dear Ambassador,

In regard to what is published by [Youlands Boston] Journal including the offensive caricatures intended to imitate the Honorable Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him). We would like to inform you of our deep displeasure because of  the degradation and detraction perpetrated by the said journal toward the great personality of the Prophet and His spiritual dignity. In addition to the faulty pronouncement of editor in chief against Muslims and Islam who launched serious accusations against Muslims and wrote an article filled of hatred and abetment. In the light of globalization and telecommunications revolution, what is done by that journal is considered as an international publishing of such offense including multiple encroachments among which:

1-      Violation of the international consensus on respect of all religions and not to offense any religion.

2-      Offending the prophets and their revelations since offending one prophet is in fact offense to all prophets.

3-      Offending one and a half billion of Muslims around the world who do believe in the Prophet and respect Him (Peace and Prayers be Upon Him).

4-      Discrimination against Islam and the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and His Followers by offending Islam and Muslims specifically.

5-      Offending the Muslim Danish citizens and other Muslims who are living in Denmark.

Your Excellency, we - as Muslims - believe in all prophets and respect them. Also, our religion prohibits offending any of the prophets. Therefore, we would like to further inform you of the various reactions against that offense. Huge numbers of people reacted against it including various sectors and regions. Reaction were such as:

1-       Wide and Strong public calls to boycotting Danish goods and products.

2-       Public calls directed to Islamic governments to embark strong actions economically and politically against Denmark.

3-       Public calls directed to Arab and Islamic organizations in order to confront this villainous campaign.

4-        Public efforts to influence businessmen and economists in order to adopt strong actions that might lead to freezing economic relations with the Kingdom of Denmark.

5-       Public efforts to influence labor organizations and institutions of the civil society around Islamic countries to distribute messages and adopt proper actions against similar organizations and institutions in the kingdom of Denmark. 

6-       The call for a wider campaign of reproving, peaceful confrontation and judiciary actions by using all possible means directed to the official and public directions in the kingdom of Denmark.

Your Excellency, we assure you that what is done by the journal is enormously provoking Muslims and as we think it might be a key factor in triggering hatred and cultivating the seeds of terrorism. As a result, it will affect the social safety in European countries. No doubt, this result must be prevented and any factors or causes that might lead to such threat must be avoided. Failing to respond by seeking apology for what is done by the said journal and by assuring not to repeat such offenses in the future would certainly stir up emotions and increase the threats.

Therefore, we demand the following actions:

1-     Notify the Danish Foreign Ministry and officials in your country of such claims and protests and explain the situation to them.

2-     Clear apology from the journal and its editor in chief and all the directions responsible of this shocking crime.

3-     Hold responsible all participants in such offense and take proper procedures against them in addition to ensure not to repeat such acts in the future. 

4-     Show good intent and general respect of Islam. Advertise on both public and official levels through cultural, media and political channels not to target Islam.

Hopefully our letter will find the required attention and cooperation in order to encourage healthy relations based on mutual respect in order to enhance the world peace.
